What Customers Say About Imusa Espresso, Cappuccino Maker:

Can someone please tell me the proper way to use this machine. This is not really a review but a request for help from the people who use the Imusa Espresso & Cappuccino Maker. I used mine for the first time today and the steamer did make the milk hot. There are no troubleshooting directions with it. Thank you.

To get foam, I place the tip of the pipe just below the surface of the milk. It took a while to figure out how to steam milk. I've been using this for a month and it works well. The basket is really easy to clean. When I use the plastic nozzle, the milk foams up so fast it doesn't get hot. So I use the bare steam pipe deep in the cup and steam the milk. I was surprised. I really like this product, especially considering how cheap it was.

There is a rubber gasket in the water chamber that sometimes gets pushed out of place by the pressure, this could be a problem down the line, but maybe not. espressos at one time.

I recently gave up alcohol & I have been drinking lots of coffee. I have owned this for about 2 weeks & used it a lot.

I bought this because of the good customer reviews. It will make 4 2 oz.

It works better than any other espresso/cappuccino maker I've seen, including very expensive ones. The difference between this & a larger model is that this has to cool for a few minutes before reuse, so it's best for 1 or 2 people.

The steamer is great. That & the plastic handle on the coffee chamber which is OK but not the very best is why I am giving this 4 stars instead of 5.

I am addicted to starbucks so going there every day - sometimes twice a day - was buring a hole in my pocket. Of course the taste is not COMPLETELY the same as starbucks - but I would say its about 92% of the same. Its a very simple products to use - and it works GREAT. I was reluctant to buy this because of the cost. I was afraid this would happen with this one too - but since you can easily clean the frother, I think this one will be fine.Anyway - great value - I am really impressed by the quality of the expresso this machine creates considering the costs. I have had it for about a week and used it about 10 times so far.

Its a very simple machine to operate, nothing really that complex about it.

So instead I went and bought the same coffee that Starbucks uses for their lattes and tried out this little machine.

I received a Krups one as a gift about 6 years ago, and to my dismay the frother stopped working after the third time I used it - I think its because it did not come off and was very difficult to clean.

I am used to the whole idea of you get what you pay for, but I figured for $40 if it sucked I wouldn't be out that much.

The way that the economy is going, its good enough for me.

It has worked WONDERFULLY.

The steam that comes out to froth the milk is very strong and the piece that dips into the milk itself, comes off and is easy to clean.

After a while I just gave it to goodwill.

I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Well, I think for once the old adage "you get what you pay for" has been debunked by this miraculous device. I just spent twice what this thing cost on a burr grinder, which is a weird feeling, because apparently you *need* fresh-ground beans for proper espresso. Seriously, why.4) Steam comes out of the top of it randomly even when the lid is tightened on all the way.

It makes a great cappuccino and works well enough, which is more than enough for me considering how poor the reviews are on most espresso machines in the $100-200 range. I'd wholeheartedly recommend this thing if you're a casual espresso/cappuccino drinker. Don't get me wrong, this thing certainly looks and feels cheap, but for $40, you're getting a whole lot for your money.

I don't get it, but it doesn't seem to harm anything. It's really not much to complain about, though. Here are some notable quirks:1) The instructions are terrible, you just have to figure this thing out as you go2) The steam control (at least mine anyway) isn't really any sort of control. It comes out like gangbusters at min and max.3) The handle on the portafilter faces toward the steam nozzle when locked, which gets in the way.

If you're serious about your espresso, splurge for something better than this. Who knows, maybe I'll be graduating to a more serious machine in the near future.
